Unnoticed and unappreciated, he quietly longs for the people and places he has left behind, but ultimately finds solace in solitude.Blending composite photographs with hand-drawn illustration, u201CLevu201D straddles the porous line between live action and animation, real emotion and surreal character. Pixellated photographs of live action actors and props were first digitally composited together, creating the surrealistic half-human, half-radio cast of characters. These composites were then printed out and inked by hand to create a boldly illustrated look. Finally, the photographs were cut out frame by frame and shot on 35mm film.
